We are a friendly town set in a beautiful valley between alpine scenes on Boulder Mountain and the magnificent desert mesas on Fifty Mile Mountain. Escalante boasts peace and quiet, spectacular views, friendly people and world class adventure in beautiful slick rock slot canyons. And delightfully, without all the crowds. Escalante is in the heart of the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument and we are located just across the street from the Visitor Center for the National Monument.
